Dinner Meeting: Elsa Sevilla – “Historic Places San Diego”

Elsa Sevilla is a 3-time Emmy Nominated, a Multi-Award winning Journalist & Filmmaker. She began her Journalism career at KGTV-10 in 1990, where she spent 17-years as an Assistant Assignment Editor, Writer, Producer and Reporter. After five years at KGTV-10, Elsa started her own business, Sevilla Productions, LLC and also became a Freelance Reporter for KGTV-10 and Translator and Field Producer for ABC- Evening News, Good Morning America and KPBS-TV.
Elsa has contributed to KPBS-TV as a freelance Journalist and Host since 1998 and later as a Filmmaker, starting her documentary series: Historic Places, since 2008. She and husband & business partner, Guillermo Sevilla, are celebrating 10-years of Filmmaking for KPBS-TV.
During her 28-year Television Broadcast career, Elsa has received multi-level awards, including: the Historic Preservation Award from the City of San Diego’s Historical Board, the California News Media Journalist Award, 3-time Emmy Nominated for Investigative Reporting, Medical Research Reporting and Historic Places, the MANA de San Diego – Women in Media Award, the San Diego Union Tribune for Small Business Award, the National Association Women’s Organization -Entrepreneur Award, and was featured in the San Diego Magazine Spotlight and the Chicana Tributes Book, among other recognitions and accolades.
