Dinner Meeting – Agent Lee Bejar, Homeland Security – Border Patrol “Today’s Challenges”

The Optimist Club Del Mar – Solana Beach, is proud to announce Lee Bejar, representative of Homeland Security – Senior Border Patrol Agent for 29 years will be the keynote speaker at the Optimist dinner meeting on Wednesday, June 20, 2018.
Homeland Security was formed in 2001 after 9/11. It is the umbrella organization that controls the Border Patrol. The office of Field Operations (Airport-Seaport-Landport, and Air and Marine Operations. Its main objective is to protect the USA.
The Border Patrol works in concert with the FBI, DEA, Sherif’s Departments,CHP, and local agencies to control drugs, illegal entry, terrorist activity and weapons.
Agent Bejar studied at San Diego State University for 4 years. His major was Business Administration.
He worked in Calexico, California, Bellingham, Washington, Charleston, South Carolina, and Temecula, California.
Agent Bejar has had several different assignments during his career i.e. ATV, Bike Patrol, Prosecutions Officer, Criminal Alien Program, Intelligence Agent, Intermediate Force Instructor, Physical Technique Instructor, Oral Hiring Boards Instructor, Special Response Team (SRT), Drug Enforcement Administration Liaison Agent, Peer Support and Border Community Liaison Agent.
