Gifts for "Straight From The Heart" Foster Children

Gifts were collected as a joint project of the Del Mar - Solana Beach Optimist Club and the three youth JOOI Clubs sponsored at Canyon Crest Academy, Torrey Pines High School, and Carmel Valley Middle School in the San Diego North County service area.

Members of each of the three JOOI Clubs obtained gifts on their own for foster children four to twelve years old and wrapped each gift in their regular weekly club meetings or on Saturday before the event. All the JOOI Clubs' gifts were brought to the Holiday Dinner event on December 17, 2014 where they were added to the gifts provided by the sponsoring Del Mar - Solana Beach Optimist Club. The next day all the gifts were delivered, via the Optimist's Santa Sleigh', to the "Straight From The Heart" organization to be distributed to foster children.
